Client Overview
Daanesh Kalyaniwalla runs DaanTalks, a tech and auto channel out of Dubai. He spent nine years in journalism first, and it shows in how he works: he only covers what he actually knows, which is why brands and buyers take his word for it even at a smaller follower count than the accounts he's up against.
The problem was that he was doing all of it himself. Shooting, scripting, editing, admin, client calls. The backlog never cleared, and by his own account it never would: “always, 24-7.” There was also nobody to think strategy through with, which was the part he actually wanted help on.
What We Did
We took the backlog off him, then stayed on to fill the gap that had been causing it.
Daanesh calls himself a brilliant #2: give him direction and he delivers fire. So we took the #1 seat on content, running ideation, strategy and production, while he spent his time on the two things nobody could do for him. Being on camera, and closing brand deals.
Our Strategy
Daanesh sells credibility, so the edit had to stay out of the way. No big transitions, nothing added just to look busy. Clean cuts, magnetic masks, layered b-roll, and text tucked inside the visuals rather than stamped across them.
The rest was the pattern work he never had time to do himself, plus a standing rule that every call should leave him better at his own craft. That last part turned out to be the bit he values most.
- We work the opening hardest, because the first second is what buys the next thirty.
- About a thousand competitor reels go through tracking every week. That's where the patterns behind the ones that break out show up.
- We take formats that already work in other niches and rebuild them for tech, rather than copying them across as they are.
- Conservative brands get the restrained cut by default, with tighter safe zones for text and real care around anything sitting under NDA.
- Every call doubles as coaching, which is what he says changed the way he works on his own.
The Results
A few months in, the videos had done over 12 million views, and the backlog that had trailed him for years was finally clear.
The bigger change was time. Admin, long-form YouTube, and the personal, cinematic stuff he'd been putting off for years were all back on the table once the daily churn stopped being his to handle.
In his own words
“A few months of working with them, they've got me 12 million plus views. Most importantly, they've taught me how to be a better content creator: what to say, when to say it, how to say it, how important hooks are, what the audience needs.”
“I could not suggest this team enough.”Daanesh Kalyaniwalla · DaanTalks, Dubai
The change here was less about the content than about who was carrying it. Once production and the thinking behind it came off Daanesh's desk, a backlog that had been permanent for years started running on a schedule instead. He got 12 million-plus views out of it, and enough room to finally build the parts of the channel he'd been putting off.
